Food trucks. Who doesn't love em right? But vegetarian/ vegan food trucks are hard to come by. This is one of many reasons why I love San Francisco, we love our food, and we love our vegetarians/ vegans!
In our South of Market district, theres a place called the SoMa Streatfood Park where they very often host food truck events for the public, but one Sunday out of the month, they host the Very Vegan Sundays which, needless to say, is an event where food trucks are invited to serve a strictly vegan menu (even though they might not be a vegan food truck). awesoooome!
Where to go:
428 11th St. San Francisco, CA.
One sunday every month (varies)
What to get:
Vendors vary by event, but they normally have vegan beer specials and vegan mimosas.
Some usual vendors (my favorites included) are:
The Sarap Shop: Vegan Filipino food. especially the TOFU SISIG!!!!!
Hella Vegan Eats: Festive vegan cuisine-- the Vegan Chicken and Waffles.......... 'nuff said.
Calpe Paellas: um. Vegan Paella. drool. drool. drool. (you get the gist.)
Why:
Live music, outdoor setting, beer, mimosas, and a large variety of vegan food on a Sunday afternoon. WHY NOT?! Support your local and up-and-coming businesses while you're at it! Good vibes and good karma all in one place!
